In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, minister of state for communication and information and technology Milind Deora said that state-run telecom company BSNL will provide mobile phone services in Machil, Tulail, Keran and Karnah in North Kashmir after considering techno-commercial and obtaining army permissions.

India has set aside Rs 30,000 crore worth of incentives and subsidies for firms who will be interested in setting up electronic manufacturing units in the country. Start-ups interested in creation of apps for mobile phones, tablets and other electronic hardware will also benefit, as a package of Rs 10,000 crore is in the offing for them.
