8 million passwords Hacked from gaming website Gamigo

Four months after the gaming site Gamigo warned users about a hacker intrusion that accessed some portions of its users’ credentials, more than 8 million usernames, emails and and encrypted passwordsfrom the site have been published on the Web, according to the data breach alert service PwnedList.

14% of home PCs are infected with malware

A new report has found that approximately 14 percent of home networks are infected with malware. The Kindsight Security Labs report, which highlights infections from April through June 2012, also says that the number of high-level threats, such as bots, Trojans and backdoors, increased by 50 percent when compared to the first three months of 2012.

New Bill Gives Obama ‘Kill Switch’ To Shut Down The Internet

The federal government would have “absolute power” to shut down the Internet under the terms of a new US Senate bill being pushed by Joe Lieberman, legislation which would hand President Obama a figurative “kill switch” to seize control of the world wide web in response to a Homeland Security directive.
Lieberman has been pushing for government regulation of the Internet for years under the guise of cybersecurity, but this new bill goes even further in handing emergency powers over to the feds which could be used to silence free speech under the pretext of a national emergency.

NVIDIA Developer Forums Hacked

Nvidia shut down its Developer Zone online forum, 15 July 2012 after hackers gained access to members' account details. A statement Nvidia posted on the forum reads, "Nvidia suspended operations today of the Nvidia Developer Zone. We did this in response to attacks on the site by unauthorised third parties who may have gained access to hashed passwords."

Yahoo Voice Hacked & 400,000 yahoo passwords leaked

Recently over 450,000 email addresses and plain-text passwords are Hacked and circulated on the internet, in a document marked "Owned and Exposed".

The affected accounts belongs to a voice-over-Internet-protocol, or VOIP, service called Yahoo Voices, which runs on Yahoo’s instant messenger.
