Mask Making Activity by Modern Convent School, Dwarka

Today, in the modern era where the kids are performing in every field like Dancing, Singing, Computers, Drawing, etc. and have surprised to even the young and talented adults. The kids get such inspiration and perform with the prodigious support of the School, Teachers and parents as well.

“Its our regular chore to organize such events which helps to boost the confidence of every student, even from the very basic level, said Dr. Geeta Parshar, Principal Modern Convent School, Dwarka, New Delhi.

Recently, the primary wing of Modern Convent School, Sector 4, Dwarka conducted a Mask Making activity on the topic ‘Wildlife of UK, Africa and India’. The activity saw a large and enthusiastic participation of all the students of class II under the supervision of the Primary in- charge Mrs Beena Singh. Students were divided into 3 groups, with each group being allotted one country. The activity was a part of International School Award by the British Council. A Power point presentation highlighting the wildlife of these countries followed by a class discussion a week preceding the activity enriched the knowledge of the little ones about the theme and helped them prepare for the event. During an interaction with one of the Student, Samridhi Girdhar of Class 2nd, it is an ultimate experience for me to know about the wild life of different countries and I really enjoyed in participating in the Mask making Activity as well.

The activity was conducted in the school hall on 4th May2012 in the presence of a few parents who applauded the innovative ideas of the children and appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers in successfully conducting the activity. The school’s principal Dr. Geeta Parashar apprised the budding artist of ways to improvise on their latent talents.
